OPEN HOUSES 2010
Every year, Neuroscience institutes across Montreal invite students and the public to tour the laboratories and listen to presentations on the new discoveries being made in brain research.
This year, BAW presents two Open Houses:
OPEN HOUSE CRIUGM
The CRIUGM is pleased to invite Secondary IV and V students from nearby schools to participate in the CRIUGM Open House, as part of Brain Awareness Week 2010. Events will begin at 9am on March 11th, 2010 with exciting presentations for students on different topics about the brain.
From 1-5pm, researchers from the center will discuss current topics in brain research. This event is open to everyone.

OPEN HOUSE MNI
We are excited to invite 120 students to the 5th annual Montreal Neurological Institute's Open House, as part of Brain Awareness Week 2010. The MNI Open House event will be held on Friday, March 19, 2010 at the Montreal Neurological Institute. In the morning, the students will be given special presentations about the brain and how it is studied, from graduate students. Presentations will be interactive and will cover topics including the 5 senses (taste, smell, touch, hearing and vision), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, and electro-encephalography (EEG). There will even be an opportunity for the students to see and feel a real human brain during the anatomy presentation. A keynote speaker will give a talk during lunch time. The day will culminate with a game show and raffle prizes where the students can win MNI water bottles, MNI squishy brains, and MNI t-shirts. It is a fun-filled day and the students will learn a lot about the human brain and all its wonders.
